Charles is a true theatre artist. He has worked in all aspects of live theatre, including acting in both lead and supporting roles, directing, producing, construction, designing, stage management, and even writing for the stage. He has also branched out into acting for camera and film and dabbled in voice work. More than anything, he loves the creative collaborative atmosphere found in the entertainment business.

Originally from Michigan just north of Detroit, Charles spent seven years in Savannah, Georgia, at the Savannah College of Art & Design. He first majored in Sequential Art, studying comics, cartooning, and storyboards. After finishing his Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree, he realized that sitting in front of a drawing desk or computer alone was not going to satisfy him for the rest of his life. He immediately enrolled in SCAD's new graduate Media & Performing Arts department, a department which he had helped pioneer in his second year at the college. He worked constantly for the next two and a half years, a time highlighted by such events as working with Matt Damon and Robert Redford on The Legend of Bagger Vance, a graduate thesis role in Lord of The Flies, staging Sunday In The Park With George for the American College Theater Festival at the University of Southern Mississippi, and adapting for the stage Robert Pirsig's classic novel Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

After graduation, moved to Chicago to pursue acting and has been very very busy at it. He was an Ensemble Member and the Marketing Director for several years with the now-defunct Keyhole Theatre and is currently an Artistic Associate with Hubris Productions. Several of the films he has appeared in have been seen at national-wide festivals and won awards, including Best Short Horror Film for Gnaw at the 2008 Illinois International Film Festival and the Gold Star Award for Excellence for What Joan Knows at the Geneva Film Festival. In addition to acting, Charles is also a very busy freelance designer. His comics work appeared weekly in Savannah's The Chronicle newpaper for three years as well as in the highly-popular Small Press Expo 2004 Anthology with a story about the Iraq War. He has been publishing comic strips on the internet for over seven years, and his comic and design work as been seen by audiences around the world as teaching aides and content illustrations for the Callaway Group, an international business consultancy. His design portfolio can be found at Grab Bag Media.com.
