 Laser Monks I saw a special about these guys on the electric television one day. They're actual monks at a monastery in rural Wisconsin. They do all the things regular monks do, y'know, pray all day and such, but in order to maintain their living expenses, they sell recycled printer ink cartidges over the internet. Any profit they make in the course of business is given to charity. Pretty cool. They also have a gift section, where you can buy a fruit cake from the Our Lady of the Desert monastery. Shouldn't it be Our Lady of the Dessert...? |
March 19, 2004. So here it is! Your surprise! A big ol' site reworking. It's best viewed with Internet Explorer, which is sad cuz I still prefer my Netscape 7 with the tabbed browsing and integrated email program. Oh well. There's still some stuff I need to tweak here and there, but I'm pretty happy with this look. Oh, and coincidentally (it's actually not a coincidence), today is the second anniversary of Dumbstruck, my journal comic. It's also strip #365, which means I've averaged a new strip every other day for two years! How about them apples? Yeah! Oh, and sorry for putting this up so late in the day. My Comcast is STILL not working. I called about it Thursday night and was told "Oh, there's an outage in your area. It should be fixed in 24 hours." Twenty-four hours later, I called again and was told "No, there's been no work in your area." So I had to make an appointment for a technician to come out. And the soonest that will happen is friggin' Tuesday morning. Guess I'm gonna miss Twenty-Four Monday night. :( Anyway, I'll try to update Wrestling Theatre Monday morning from work again. If anyone's trying to email me, I'm probably not receiving it, so be patient. March 18, 2005. Sorry for the late update. I had to upload today's stuff from work because my internet is down. Stupid Comcast has had an "Unexplained Outage" since last night. I've got a surprise for you tomorrow. :) (Provided my internet is working by then) March 11, 2004. I had the worst day yesterday. Woke up grumpy, the internet didn't work, my printer wouldn't work so I couldn't print out the emails I needed to sent my MP3 player off to get fixed. Then I went in to work late. I bashed my shin BAD on a support on the bus. Then people kept me at work 45 minutes past closing. And then the radiators in my apartment weren't coming on. One of those days that you wish you could just hit the Redo Button and get all that time back. Oh well. On to another day... March 9, 2004. I saw Finding Neverland last night. I liked it. It was touching and inspirational. March 8, 2004. One of these days the company that's reproducing my headshots will get my layout right and can finally print them for me. It's not that hard, people! I made you a file showing exactly what I want! Why can't you just copy that? Oy! March 1, 2004. Nothing new to report, other than my downstairs neighbors are about to get a whoop-down cuz of their loud music... February 23, 2004. I ruined my last pair of contacts. It involved jalepenos. It's not pretty.
